The Questions
The questions never disappeared.
They simply became quieter.
Less urgent.
More patient.
There was no single event that changed everything.
No teacher who held all the answers.
No sudden revelation.
Instead…
There were fragments.
Books.
Conversations.
Moments of unexpected clarity.
Each left something behind.
Looking back, it became obvious that the longing from childhood had quietly shaped almost every important decision.
Not through fear.
Through curiosity.
The destination had never been another country.
It had never even been an answer.
It had been understanding.
Not understanding the world…
…but understanding the one who was looking at it.
Some ideas stayed.
Others quietly fell away.
There was no disappointment in that.
Every sincere search leaves footprints worth following…
…even if they eventually disappear beneath the next tide.
Over time, certainty became less important.
Mystery no longer felt like something to overcome.
It felt like something to respect.
Perhaps the greatest discoveries were never meant to be conclusions.
Perhaps they were invitations.
The longing had not vanished.
Neither had the questions.
But something had changed.
The search no longer felt like wandering.
It felt like home.
